John Hudson is a talented and seasoned executive with 30 years of experience in Logistics, Freight Management, Supply Chain, and consulting. He brings a wealth of expertise with particular strengths in designing, implementing and managing custom freight management programs that reduce cost and provide transparency. With an abundance of logistics experience, John has a strong understanding of various industries and their transportation needs.
Currently, John is the Chief Commercial Officer at a freight management and consulting firm, Guardian Freight Management. Throughout his 35-year career, he has worked with hundreds of companies ranging from small start-ups to mid and large size corporations, offering freight management solutions to an array of industries including healthcare, hospitality, food service, manufacturing, distribution, apparel, universities and utility companies. John is responsible for spearheading several freight management initiatives, saving his customers several hundred million dollars in freight spend and improved processes.
In past positions, John served as Vice President of FDSI Logistics, a business unit of Cardinal Health, where he had P&L responsibility. His responsibilities also included sales and operations reporting directly to him as well as HR, Finance and IT as a corporate shared service. FDSI Logistics, where John spent 25+ years of his career, was acquired by Cardinal health in January 2015. Prior to the acquisition John held several leadership positions at FDSI including Vice President of Operations as well as President. He co-founded the healthcare division at FDSI which ultimately led to the Cardinal acquisition.
John Hudson obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Southern California. He holds an MBA from The Marshall School of Business of the University of Southern California.
