Steve is the former Vice President of Global Transportation for Tyco International, managing a $1.2 Billion transportation budget. He has advised numerous Fortune 500 companies in reducing their overall transportation and logistics costs.
Steve is a leading expert in negotiating transportation contract language, pricing, and rules/accessorials for all modes of transportation including small parcel, LTL, FTL, ocean freight, and air freight for international and domestic shipments. In addition, his skill sets also range into transportation agreements for companies who ship within the European and Asian territories. His goal is to work with selective clients who are open to overhauling their transportation expenditures with quality carriers and assisting them in updating their existing logistical structures while the client maintains all day-to-day operations and relationships with their carriers.
As President of RLG, he ensures that all freight carriers understand each client's needs so that they can meet and/or exceed their expectations. Steve and RLG are strong believers in establishing firm partnerships between their clients and their carriers.
Steve holds an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT). He also holds a dual Undergraduate Degree in International Business and Transportation/Logistics Management from Northeastern University. He has also completed a Graduate Certificate in Logistics/Supply Chain Management from Northeastern University. He graduated with Honors with all three degrees that he holds.
Steve has been a guest speaker at various undergraduate and graduate Supply Chain Management classes at Northeastern as well as other events in the logistics and supply chain area.
In 2004 Steve won the “One Tyco” Strategic Sourcing Award for the sourcing project that saved the most money, had the greatest impact across all of Tyco, and was 98% implemented at 1500+ locations in just 3 weeks. This project was the single sourcing of Tyco’s small parcel provider throughout Tyco’s network and yielded a savings of just over $11 million annually.

Steve is an active member of CSCMP/Nasstrac, South Florida Manufacturers Association, and the Golden Key National Honor Society, as well as Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society for MBA/Graduate Students.
